Mother Earth

from A Different Country by Lilac Sheer

/

lyrics

If mother earth could ever tell us
The truth about what she's going through
Then what do you think she would have told us
About the soot in her eyes, and the colour of her skies?

And what about the changing weathers?
The winter is warm, the summer rains
And what about rivers overflowing
Polluted and grey, what do you think she's gonna say?

A lonely world, cries rivers of tears
As it slowly dies, while nobody hears
Do we care just enough, to change it before it all ends
with another big earthquake

Yesterday night, while I was sleeping
The sun came and whispered in my ear
My rays are all blocked and my heart is weeping
You see, I'm broken inside – d'ya think anyone would mind?

Young Johnny says: "Please tell me mama,
Why do those white bears disappear?"
- "Hush little child, you better sleep now,
And don't worry 'bout it all, It's not time to save the world.."
